Kingston Fire Batch Recipe No. 18 • Extreme Heat, Legendary Flavor
Where the Fire Batch Began.
Every Kingston recipe has a story.
Some are comforting.
Some are smoky.
Some are bold.
Scorchin' Insanity became something different.
It became the recipe that launched the Kingston Fire Batch Series.
I wanted to answer one simple question...
How far could I push heat while refusing to compromise flavor?
The answer wasn't "as hot as possible."
The answer was balance.
Rich ranch.
Smoky adobo.
The fruity intensity of Scorpion peppers.
The unmistakable warmth of Ghost peppers.
The relentless finish of Carolina Reaper.
Together they create a recipe that's unapologetically hot—but never forgets why it exists.
Flavor always comes first.
The Flavor
Scorchin' Insanity doesn't begin with pain.
It begins with flavor.
Creamy ranch lays the foundation while smoky adobo brings richness and depth.
Scorpion pepper introduces bright, fruity heat.
Ghost pepper slowly builds intensity.
Finally, Carolina Reaper delivers a long, satisfying finish that lingers without overwhelming the recipe.
It's layered.
Balanced.
Bold.
Every ingredient works together to create one of the hottest—and most flavorful—recipes I make.
Why I Make It This Way
Anyone can dump hot peppers into a seasoning blend.
That doesn't make it memorable.
I wanted a recipe people would finish because it tasted incredible—not because they were trying to survive it.
Scorchin' Insanity isn't a gimmick.
It's a handcrafted recipe that respects flavor just as much as fire.
That's much harder to create.
The Original Fire Batch
Before there was Devil's Tongue...
There was Scorchin' Insanity.
This is the recipe that became the foundation for my Fire Batch Series and proved that extraordinary heat could still deliver extraordinary flavor.
It remains one of my favorite recipes because it strikes a balance that's surprisingly difficult to achieve—intense enough to satisfy serious pepper lovers while still allowing the ranch, smoky adobo, and savory spices to shine through.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Scorchin' Insanity your hottest recipe?
Not quite.
Scorchin' Insanity is one of the hottest recipes I make and the original recipe in the Kingston Fire Batch Series.
If you're looking for the absolute limit, that distinction belongs to Devil's Tongue, which takes the Fire Batch philosophy even further with approximately twice the pepper intensity.
Is it only heat?
No.
The ranch and smoky adobo create a rich, savory foundation before the peppers begin building in intensity.
Flavor always comes first.
How often is it available?
Only during limited Fire Batch production runs.
Once it sells out, it may not return for several months.
Should I share it with someone who doesn't like spicy food?
Probably not.
This recipe was intentionally created for people who truly enjoy very hot foods.
